We are a small Chinook family consisting of Dan and Lindsay (The Humans), Moonsong Darzee’s Chant (Parker), Frontier In Bocca al Lupo (Kenna Lu) and Silvertree's Lion Indomptable of Frontier (Song), located near Portland, Oregon.
Our Chinooks are true to their working heritage. They are competitive sled dogs, participating in races each year across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Canada. They each have their Working Dog Advanced titles, and are working towards an Excellent title. Kenna Lu is the first ever female Chinook to earn a “Working Lead Dog (WLD)” title.
Additionally, our Chinooks are involved in many other activities that engage them physically and mentally. They meet lots of other dogs to exercise their sociability; they are consistently registered in Obedience, Agility, Nose Work, or Rally classes to keep them in learning mode. Kenna Lu has earned her AKC Rally Novice title, and both have earned their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certificates. Kenna Lu has also competed in Conformation showing, and was the first Chinook to win Best of Breed and go on to compete in the AKC Working Group at Portland’s 2013 Rose City Classic cluster show.
